Suzuki prospect Casey Hinson . Now r iding all over the country in
high-profile events, Casey grew up racing CMA motocross and
felt strongly about representing it on t he track . In fact, he was so
determined that a severe cold and high fever couldn't even kee p
him away. Desp ite being under the weather, he claimed two class
wins . The first was the 125cc Intermediate class. w here Hinson
held off fellow CMA pledges Charlie Hartz ell. Dust in Somogyi and
Weston Arthurs. Hinso n also rod e the popular Schoo lboy class, in
which he swept both motes, ahead of Kevin Hurt and Josh Fittro.
Fortune smiled on th e ot her side whe n it ca me to Pro
competition . Rusty Holland was one of those ride rs w ho had to
choose between two promoters for whom he regularly rides . He
ended up representing Mutant, and it was to its benefit. Holland
swept all motes in 125cc and 250cc Pro action as well as the Dash
f or Cash race. fres no's Josh Co x flew the CMA colors and was
the onl y rider w ho was able to stay w ithin sight of the winne r.
Co x was consistent in his o wn right , finishing second in all fo ur
Pro motos.

Robb ie Baker put hi' Clawson Mo to rspor ts YZ4S 0f out fro nt
both times . He had som e pretty strong resistance from John Blair,
who also rides fo r Clawson. Bot h we re defending the honor of
the CMA, th ough, so in that sense, t he result w as nev e r in
question. Baker swept, w hile Blair was a close second eac h time
out.
