Tobin took advantage of a m istak e by Meeks to move into second on the next lap. and Abell gapped the three-rid er freight trai n behind him by four seconds. When the white flag cam e out, Tobin had worked his way to just two seconds behind Abell . and he had two seconds on Meeks. On the final lap , Meeks put o n a c ha rge and passed T obin for sec o nd go ing into the back section, and then he set his sights on th e lead er . Meeks rap idl y cl osed in on Ab ell , sett in g up a dr amatic fini sh . He made hi s m ove in the u ltrafast section t hat lead s into th e night tr ack, and when they got to the co me r, neither rider wa s will ing to shut o ff fi rst. Meek s at te m pted to squ eeze to th e inside of Abell , and it looke d like th ey were about to go down in a heap . Abell's m omen tum pu shed him over th e inside berm . allowing Meek s to ge t by , j ust three turns from the fi n is h.
