Bey was a clo se thi rd . ahea d of Higg ins. Anatol Kozlow ski and T on y Russo . Bey used the power o f his Pharmacy Ride Shop/ Rider's Edge-back ed CRF450R to win the drag race to th e first tum in m ot o two, fo llowed by Sanc hez, Barger and Russo . By the end o f lap on e, San c h ez was o u t fro n t and pu ll in g away. Sanc hez's reign wa s short- lived, though, as he went down har d a lap lat er and wa s out of the rac e. Bey inherit ed th e top spot and didn't let it go to wa ste, as he mo tored awa y to sew up th e o ve rall on a 3- 1 night . Higgins finished seco nd in the m oto, but the seco nd- place trophy went to Barger (2 -3) . Kozlow ski stalled his bike off the start but then foug ht his way up into a fo urth- place finish fo r fo urth overall . Ty lor Hem m e go t the holeshot in the fi rst 85cc Beg inn er m oto and led up un til the midway p oint , wh en Chase Wolc o tt c aug ht him and m ade the pa ss . Wolcott pulled away fo r th e wi n , wi th Taylor Pineda putting a last -lap pass on Hemme for second place. Jake Broe sel nabbed the holeshot in moto t wo and a voi ded a second -turn pileup that claimed a few riders , including fi rst -mote wi n ne r Ch ase Wo lc o tt . Conne r Wolcott grabbed th e lead on th e openi ng circuit an d wen t the distanc e for the second -moto wi n, but it was th e co nsistent 2-2 score o f Pineda tha t cap tured t he overall. Wichita 's Dan Hickey put hi s Honda in first place in th e Over 25 and Over 30 classes. He pulled the ho leshots and never looked back . While the others were battling ba ck and fort h , Hickey bui lt up an awesome lead . He wa s th e only person to triple the rh ythm section. Most people do it dou ble. double . double. bu t Hickey tri p le d . singled a nd t h en dou b led out . sho wi ng everybody else the best wa y to do it. won the fir st m oto on his Suzuki RM250, but a poo r start in th e secon d m oto relegat ed him to a thi rd -place fi nish and second o ve rall for th e day .
