Daven po rt waited until the last lap and was looking to jump by Christ ia nsen in the rh yt hm sect io n, b ut j ust when it look ed li k e Daven po rt had eno ug h room to get by , Christia nsen quickly shut th e door and headed to th e whoop s secti on. Ku bitsc he k stan ds over 6 feet tall and weighs m o re than 200 poun ds. If the local foot ba ll team needs a lin eback er, Kubi tsch ek fit s the bill . Ku bitsch ek used hi s size and natural abili ty to dominate the 125cc Interm ediate cl ass, gett ing the hol eshot in both m otos and rid ing to convincing wins by m ore th an 15 seco nds. Danie l J ohn so n fi nish ed second in the cl ass a n d t o o k a ve r y d i ffe re nt r o a d t h a n Kubitsc he k: John son grabbed mi dp ack starts and calm ly and m ethod ica lly pi cked his way around othe r riders int o seco nd in each of the motos. Chad Jo rgensen used one good start , rig ht behind Kubitsch ek in on e rnoto , to take third , but he had to work his way through the pack in the other ou ting to tak e fou rt h in the m oto and th ird overall for the day.
