F u l ton made t he pass for the lead on the fi rst lap and m anag ed to kee p his b ike in front of K e rr ' s for th e rem aind er of the moto . Norberto De be rna rd i , a Pro from A rgentin a, got his Yamaha out front fi rst in m ot o o ne but quickly turned the lead over to the YZ- mount ed D emut h , w ho b l azed aro und t he t rack with ano ther Yam ah a, ridd en by J ohnn y M arl e y , c lo se b ehind . By the sec ond lap, Dr ak e had m ov ed up t o th e lead po sition , with Cov ing t on follow i n g r ig h t b e h i n d h er, wh ile B lew ett fell ba ck to th ird . D rak e le d all the way to the flag, tak ing the w in a he ad of Co v ing t on , B lewett and a pair of Suzuk i ride rs , Jenny Leo nar d and Ang ie Stephens . A rka nsas ' Co vin gt o n g ra bbed the st art in m oto t wo, but Dr ak e was right t he re by her side, read y to mak e a move up to the front. On ce she did, Dr ak e aga i n maint ai ned th e l ead thro ugh ou t th e m ot o to tak e th e win, ahead of Covi ngton' s so lid 2 -2 score for seco nd place. B lewett 's 3 -4 score was good enough fo r sec ond , while a 5 -3 sc or e for Stephens entitled her to t he f ourth-p la ce hardware.
