Rick ey McReynolds won the hi ghl y co rn pe tit ive 85 cc ( 12 - 15 ) class, Cory Hu d son swept bo th 250cc Beginn er m o tos, and Cody Lee did likewise in 65cc ( 6 ·8) acti on , two sliced and diced all over the trac k , pulling away fr om th e rest o f the pac k , as Gregory looked fo r any possible place to pass . Gregory and Fo wl er used every inch of track spa ce possible to their ad vantage. On th e last lap , Gregory ma de an aggressive p ass in a tigh t le ft- hander and put some dis t an c e bet ween hi mse lf an d Fowler. Snider cr ossed the line n ex t , f oll ow ed by Dris ki ll a n d the r est of the pack. As th e only Pro to sho w up for th e nigh t' s racing , Na thaniel Benoit was for c ed to m ix it up with so me o f th e Am ate ur cl asse s. As th e Op en Outlaw field rounded the first rig ht -han de r and head ed up th e hil l, Beno it wa s already sett ing the track ablaze with his M DR-b ack ed YZ250 , Behind him , Tom my Da lt on pu shed his luck ju st a little too fa r and went do wn in the corn er, hol ding up Ton y Moore and all ow in g Gr eg o r y t o sn ea k p ast fo r se c on d . U p fro nt, Ben oit was simply go ne , leav ing th e rest o f th e pack fig hti ng fo r pos itio ns. Moor e, utili zing the big horsepower of his CRF450R, eventua lly got pa st Greg ory, as did Dal ton , Th ey fi nished the m o to in this or der. Moto two started out looking sim ilar to th e fi rst , as Benoit c hec ke d out early . Beh in d him , Da lto n had his hands full with Mo o re and Gregory, O n lap two , Moor e fell and st alle d th e big 45 0 in a co rner, an d D alton an d Grego ry took off and st aged an epic battle for th e O ut law w in .
