Max Harris got a only a fair sta rt but went to wo rk on Ja son Doan e and made the pass for fourth on th e secon d lap; then , o n th e fo urth lap, Harri s fough t his way past Scott for th ird . Coming off a four-mota win streak earli er in th e week , Mason Whart on ran in to some minor motor probl em s but was still fighting it o ut for a top -five finish un til the second lap, when his seat fell off while casi ng a double, and he fe ll fa r back . Po litl e made a perfect pass on Harrim an, but a large group of lap pe rs allo wed Harrim an to retak e th e lead. The t wo fo ug h t bar to bar to th e checke rs , with Harriman squeez ing his wa y int o the wi n. Poll tie fini shed second , and th e final podi um spot wa s t ak en by Har ri s. Coltrane, wh o had smoke d the co m peti tion in th e earl ier qua lifi er, tr ied a pass for the lead, but he fell down befo re th e fini sh line. B rendan J ohnson and Co oper Garza foug ht it o ut for second p lac e , b u t the you nger o f the two, Garza, eventually pulled away from Johnson. Garza th en took off to ca tc h Moore, and near th e end , Garza pulled off the pass, much t o the excite men t of th e cro wd . After a fo urth pla c e st art , th e T eam Moto Outfitter s/MSR / S c ott/DTI -ba ck ed Ryan M ira n da fell and dropped back to last pl ac e. By th e ti m e Miran da go t goi ng aga in , the lead ers had c aug ht up to h im , but Mirand a was tota lly intent on not gett ing lapped , and he not only stay ed at th e sam e pac e as the leaders but also pu lled away from th em! W ith all th e chaos goin g on , Ky le Ulr ich also battled back from a bad sta rt to m ove up to third after a lengthy battle with Ju lian. Nich ol s got the crowd o n its feet by cl earin g every j ump, eve n the triple ju m p! Nichols then took th e checkered flag in style, and in the last comer Jess and Ulrich came together with the lap ped Jordan Buss , and Jess went down. Grabiel backed up that performance wit h a great ride in the 250cc Pro contest , taking fifth aboard his Kawasak i, righ t beh ind Dickie Hoy. A loc al Pro who rides ou t of th e Bu ck ey e Pow e rsports shop , Hoy ra n ra mpant in th e Vet classes on th i s ac t io n - packed e ve n i n g , snatchi ng th e Over 25 A and Over 30 victories w ith ease .
