Bloxham also took the overall in the 85cc (9- I I) ciass and second overall in the 125cc Novice classes. In the first 65cc (9-11) moto, Garrett Comer blasted into the early lead aboard his KTM, just ahead of Corby Shumate and Garrison Coney. Within a lap. Shumate, on a Langston-modified KTM, slipped by Comer and set the pace. The two sliced and diced their way around the track, with Shumate besting Comer at the line. Coney was third. In moto two, Shumate took the early lead, but Comer quickly got around using an outsjde line. The lead duo stayed within a wheel of each other for most of the mota until Shumate made a pass with one lap to go, en sur· ing himself the mota win, as well as the overall. Coney wound up with two thirds for third overall. Shumate also swept the very competitive 65cc Open class, over Coney and Kawasaki rider Michael Bond. In the first 250cc Novice race. Judson Holloway put his KTM 450 out front early, followed by Brandon Baty and Nick Blood. Baty quickly passed Holloway and pulled away. Blood stalled his Husqvarna, falling back to last place. Travis Jones and Jeremy fowler battled for second. Blood carved his way back up to third. Baty won, followed by Fowler and Blood. In the second mota, Fowler led Baty, Jones and Blood. Baty quickly took the lead, while Blood passed Jones for third. Blood then charged Fowler; within a lap, Blood got past for second and set out for the leader, Baty. With two laps to go, Blood took the lead. Meanwhile, Suzuki-mounted Dusty Hickman worked his way up to challenge Fowler for third. Then Baty stalled his Yamaha on an uphill, letting Hickman and Fowler by. Blood won, with Hickman second. Fowler third, Jones fourth and Baty fifth. 16" Results 50 BEG: l. Dylan Van lWef!1 (Han); 2.
