Hammock was moving through the field quickly, overtaking Self to settle into third, behind Perry. Matt Boehle moved into fifth and pressured Self briefly before making Washington's Jeff Sullivan handled the Over 40 Amateur class fairly easily with three firsts, 1I second and a third. Dueling over the second spot were Greg McPherson from Washington and Michael Downey from Canada. Downey served notice by winning the first moto but had some bad scores later. Royal jumped out to the lead in the second moto. with Perry and Joshua Wineman in tow. Hammock quickly moved around Wineman and tracked down Perry. making the pass before the end of the first lap. Boehle moved around Wineman at the start of the second lap and was looking to move into the top three. Boehle was able to pass Perry but went down shortly after. losing the position. Wineman tried his hand next. passing Perry, with Boehle following his example - but Wineman didn't have much luck, hitting the dirt and hanging up Boehle in the process. This put Perry back into third, where he would finish the moto. Up front, Royal rode away.ith another perfect moto, while Hammock picked up second and second overall. Perry's third secured third overall, ahead of Boehle. Wineman's 7-4 tally earned him fifth overall for the day. Mike Thompson jumped out to the early lead of the first 250cc Novice moto, ahead of Brandon Johnson and Taylor Stevens. Fourth- placed Jarrod Doss quickly moved through the field and came up with the lead.
