2003 Presents Round 7 AMA I CHEVY TRUCK MOTOCROSS NATIONALS There's another guy who wasn't doing so good and didn't want to be here, and he came back and is doing really well now. I think I was getting to the same point Kevin [Windham] was a few years back, so I don't need to do something about it right now. Maybe [I'IIJ take a break like him. I've been thinking about just quitting racing and just enjoying life, so we'll see. I'm having lots of fun lately, so I might just get back on the bike again next year. I don't know. If you do quit, are you going to stay in the States? Oh yeah, definitely. I will stay in the States. I have no plans on going back to France at all. I have a' house here and everything here, so I don't have any plans to go back. Have you ridden the new RM-Z yet? No, but if I'm racing next year, I definitely want to race that. It looks like a great bike, so I can't wait to try it. Are you eligible for 125cc supercross? Yeah. Would you race 125s indoors? If I like the 250F, yeah! Why not? I'm shooting to have lots of fun racing, and if I have fun, normally I win, so riding a 250F in 125 might be a lot of fun. Less-race season, less stress ... Especially for me, with the Epstein-Barr virus and all. it might be a good idea to only do 125s. It's a lot less stress, less training, less of everything, so with the virus I have it might be a good idea. I don't know yet; we'll see. If I want to be in the top three in 250, you have to train really hard. And with what I have, if I don't get rid of it before next year, you just can't do it. I just can't train really hard, or I'm going to kill myself, just like I did this year. So it's kind of a losing situation. Following his 4-2 performance at Budds Creek, where he was the only rider who could see Ricky Carmichael throughout the second moto, we decided to follow up with Roncada. Are you sti II thinking about retiring next year? Nothing's changed. Races like this are fun and make you want to stay around, but they're not all like this - maybe they can be this year, but there are good days and bad days. I still don't know what I'm doing next year. I'm just going to try and have fun every week, and then we'll see. eN Presented by Dunlop Radial Rover Ught Truck TIres, ~ sponsored by ft.~~!!~!~~~~~ ~~==:J JULY 12 & 13 ?::....DU2tTLD.P .,...
