challenge for the remaining nine riders. Kurt
Koester, winner of the 600cc Expert class. and
Kaleb Northrup followed with good IO-second
times, but both fell short of Waddell's. Then
Cipala brought his Harley to the line. Todd
delivered, as he often does under pressure,
blasting off the line and assaulting the hill with
a handful of Harley power - and sailed over
the top in an incredible 9.87 seconds, taking
the win in the King Of The Hill class and bettering his own fast time.
The 2003 Nationals will be an awesome
event, as up to 600 of the nation's best hillclimbers will challenge the tough Dickeyville
hill. Two hills will be running at the same time,
both observable from the spectator area. For

This part of the Lone Star State was once the
site of some of the most devastating Indian
raids in Texas, but there was no evidence of
disorderly conduct on this day, as 674 riders
and about 2500 spectators took to the woods
of Jack County for a weekend of modern-day
cross-country racing.
With a population of about 3300, Jacksboro was overrun this weekend by an equal
number of racers and spectators as the Texas
Cross Country Racing Association held round
six of its "l4-race annual series. Blue skies and
mild temperatures greeted riders, as did a dry
and dusty 8.5-mile course. However. race pro
moter Marty Cathy did an outstanding job of
spreading the water around.
"Marty and his team worked until 3 a.m.
Sunday, watering every part of the course
they could reach," said Ross Whitting, president of the TCCRA. "He really went above and
beyond to keep the conditions reasonable for
the riders, and that's a tall order when Mother
Nature isn't cooperating."
But Mother Nature wasn't the only one who
wasn't cooperating on Sunday. Team Green
Granbury Kawasaki rider Clay Hoensheil
wouldn't let anybody get by his KX250 in the
Pro event. The reigning and 11 -time TCCRA
Pro-class champion scored his fourth consecutive win for the season, leading the 48-mile
event from start to finish and, in the process,
padding his advantage over Two Wheel World
rider Sean Reddish by an additional 12 points.
"Clay is superfast on courses like these,"
Reddish said, remarking on the wide-open and

(#0121) In 1994, Fox Racing created a first of its kind motocross video called Terrafirma. In
what would ultimately launch a revolution in the motocross industry. Fox, capitalizing on easily
obtainable, mass market video technology, laid down a series of segments featuring team
riders Doug Henry, and Ezra Lusk; a spectacular highlight sequence gleaned from the 1994 AMA
125cc and 250cc Nationals; and a short interview piece shot introducing three young minicycle kids named
Ricky Carmichael (14),Travis Pastrana (II) and James Stewart (B). Throughout the rest of the decade, Fox Racing would go
on to create Terrafirma 2,3,4,5 and 6, along with Air Raid and Wrathchild. Celebrating riding, racing and the athletes that
make it all happen. the Fox Racing producers, in their travels, also visited and documented upon other forms of motorcycle
sport such as supercross, freestyle motocross, off-road, dirt track, hill climb and trails, creating a fusion of two-wheel style
and culture.
Anthology, a two-DVD box set. takes you, the viewer for a wild ride through the I990s. Travel with the producers of
Terrafirma series as they drop in on countless riding areas and racetracks to record the feats and exploits of the world's
