the Michelin/Suzuki of Canton Suzuki 750, moved to third, over Jeffrey Agnes, on the Dunlop/LP USA Suzuki 750. Mike Coisman stayed close in fifth. Lynn held off the challenging Rojas and took the win. The two Vesrah Brakes riders, Tray Batey and John Jacobi, led the first lap of the 750cc Superstock Expert final. Charging from the back of the pack was Josh Hayes, on the Attack Racing/Dunlop Suzuki. First he got by Reuben Frankenfield, and then he moved by Greg Moore. During the second lap, he slipped by Jacobi and headed after Batey. On the third lap, Hayes took the lead and never looked back. Batey wasted no time in the Heavyweight Twins race and sped away from Bill St. John and Champion, both on Italian twins. Musil held fourth on his Suzuki 650, but Russell Mascar was charging on his Suzuki 1000. At the halfway point, Batey held a 10-second lead, while St. John took his Project Monza/BCM Racing Ducati 996 by Champion, on the Motul/Pit Bull Aprilia 1000. At the checkered flag, Batey took the win, and Mascar grabbed fourth. Behind this action, the Novices put on a show, as Randy Hill, George Ungwall and Charles Goad contested first place - until a red flag brought an end to the action. Hill took first on his JP2/ American Union Ducati 998, Lingwall took second on the Suzuki 1000, and Goad took third on his Touring Sports BMW Aprilia. Youngster Nicky Wimbauer took the holeshot in the 600cc Superbike Expert final on his Info Tech/Yalter Moto Yamaha, but the big dogs were right on his heels as they charged through turn three and four. Tray Batey takes his fourth victory of the year in the Heavyweight Twins Expert class on the Vesrah Suzuki TL 1000. David Weber got by on the XT Racing Suzuki; then Greg Myers got by on the second lap on the Michelin/EBC Yamaha. Ic'e racer Blake Young finally slipped by to take third, leaving Wimbauer io fourth. For the third time of the day, Lynn and Rojas were in the lead, this time in the 600cc Superbike Novice race. Lap after lap, Rojas held off the charging Lynn, but this Novice racer was not to be denied, and he grabbed his third Victory of the day by taking the lead coming out of the last corner. Rojas finished second, with Eddie Robinson in third and Ernie Dix in fourth. The two-strokes dominated the Expert portion of the Formula Two race, while the SV Suzukis dominated Bradley Champion rode his Suzuki SV850 to victory In the Lightweight Twins Expert final at Virginia Inte.....tlonal Rac-r. the Novice part. Kcraget led on his 125cc Honda, over the 250cc Yamaha of John Farrell, with John Abell in third on the 250cc Aprilia. Morgan and Hackney were the fast· Novices, battling for the lead. Laroche and Bruce Stanford contested third. When the checkered flag flew, Kcraget and Morgan took their second wins of the day. Starting from the first wave. Douglas Duane took the lead of the 750cc Superbike Expert race on his Maximus Performance & Handling Suzuki 750, with Weber in second. Hard-charging C.R. Gittere battled for third with Charles Ivey. George Gentle took the lead from the second wave of Novice racers. Mike Cuisman, on the RECH Racing Suzuki, grabbed second, with Jeff Floyd in third on the Lockhart/Phillips Suzuki. Duane stayed up front and took the victory. Gittere came in third on the RepairManuaLcom Suzu- for fifth as the rain came back on the scene and ended the racing action with a red flag.
