John Jacobi moved the Vesrah/Arai Suzuki to second, with Arclight's Scott Harwell in third. During the seventh lap, Gregory Moore, on the Buzz's Psycle Suzuki, moved past Harwell and Jacobi to take second, while Ricky Ford and Mike Garofalo battled for fifth. On the 10th lap, Junge had a 10-second lead. Moore took second, with Jacobi third and Harwell fourth. Second place was up for grabs, as Full Throttle/Pirelli's Fritz Kling held off the challenge from Shenandoah Honda's Tim Bemisderfer. Byron Barbour stayed close but settled for fourth. Team Xtreme's Billy Ethridge was running seventh when he ran off the track and retired. As Diego Rojas took the lead in the Star School 600cc Superstock Novice race, Grant Catoe charged through the pack to battle with Adam Durham for fourth. Bill Conger found some extra horsepower midway through the race and moved up to challenge Rojas for the lead. Eddie Robinson rode a steady third, but at the checkered flag Rojas kept the lead on his Pirelli/Suzuki 600, while Catoe took fourth. With bikes down in the first turn in the 600cc Superstock Expert race, the red flag came out to stop the action. On the restart, Junge again put the hammer down and grabbed a 20- bikelength lead by the fifth turn. In the contest of the 15-year-old Experts, Jesse Janisch finished best; he ended up 14th, Nicky Wisbauer came in 15th, and Taylor Knapp was 17th. Bradley Champion took the holeshot and the lead in the lightweight Twin Expert race. During the second lap, Jeff Walker, on the Michelin-backed SV650, passed EBC Racing's Martin Musil to take second. Veteran racer David Yaakov had his hands full with Janisch on his back wheel as they ran for fifth. Derek Keyes held down fourth. As Champion took the win with his Motul/Pirelli SV650 Suzuki, youngster Janisch took fifth. "I have been racing this bike fa two years," Champion stated. "The SV has been out for two years now, and the R&D has been done; the SV fits me, and I like it." Steve Genter ran away with the 125cc Grand Pdx final on his Honda Riders Club of America Honda. John Klaras, also on a Honda, took second. In the Novice portion of this race, James Bock took the win in one of his last races for a while.
