This was the Prieto Racing/Priority Racing/Steven's A-C/Shogun/Foster Enterprises- backed Barnes' first race at Morose since the track's addition of the tum-six chicane. Martinez won three of his events· the Unlimited Supersport, Heavyweight Supersport and Heavyweight Superbike classes and finished second in GTO. He is sponsored by Champion Motorcycles, Dunlop, GMD Computrack, Nutec, and Sportbikedecals.com. The Kinetic Motorsports/Knights Shooting Sports/Century Design/Yoyodyne/Vortexsponsored McEnery finished second in Supertwins and 10th in GTO. The Supertwins race was one of the most exciting events of the day, as McEnery and Leo Venega battled for the lead. The two swapped positions on almost every lap, and it was a fight to the finish. Venega maneuvered around traffic and into the lead as they entered the front chicane on the final lap of the race. McEnery was close behind, and it was a drag race to the checkered flag, with Venega out front and McEnery in second. Teammates Tom Pfuner and Darren Mulvaney dominated the Expert and Amateur events, respectively. Both rode GSX-R600s to victory in all of their classes and tied as the winningest racers of the weekend, with four victories apiece. The I&E Group-sponsored duo won identical classes in the Expert zmd Amateur fields, each winning their GTU, Middleweight Supersport, Middleweight Superbike and Middleweight Grand Prix events.
