De Falco Declaws 'em
Sacket got comfortable, but Steven Hackett
battled through to challenge for second. Fireworks ensued, as Sacket held off Lewis for
fIrst, and Hackett pulled an even doser finish
over Kevin Nieves for third.
Sacket pulled the string again to start the
second half and looked golden early on.
Nieves ripped through the pack to challenge
for the lead. A multiple crash at the alwaysdangerous drop-off on lap two took the two
leaders out, and Lewis took charge. The surprising second-half win gifted Lewis with the
overall 8xc Beginner crown, heading Hackett, Curt Lammert and Maxx Foster.
