WY, FEB. 8 Ricky Anderson from Bellvue. Colorado, flew off the line on his Wood Rotax in the 250cc Open Pro class at Checkered Flag Productions Indoor Short Track races at the Casper Events Center in Casper, Wyoming. He maintained the lead while racers c.J. Beving and Spearfish, South Dakota's Randy Coughlin battled to determine who would take home the second-place money. On the final lap, Beving, riding a Honda, hit the gas and passed Coughlin to cross the line in second place. Coughlin placed third. Frank Haroman advanced to fourth place. and Brian Lehteldt of Fort Collins, Colorado, captured fifth place. Casper resident Dan Rowland, riding a 1976 Yamaha TT500, had first place in his pocket from the very start of the 250cc Open Amateur class, Ray Arndt from Bellvue, Colorado, rode his 1978 Yamaha TT500 to second place.
