hands full trying to get by Brad Rosine; he finally got by, but by then it was too late to catch the leaders, Hundertmark rode a beautifully prepared 750cc Yamaha twin to win the Twins class. Gary Beck, also on a Yamaha, held back Triumph-mounted Dan Luchon to attain second. Fenwick had his hands full with the two teenagers, Janisch and Smulders, in the 250cc class. While Mike Yingling and Ed Beson battled for fourth, this leading trio took off. Smulders had the upper hand and held the lead while Janisch looked for a way around the elder Pro. Fenwick stayed close, but Smulders got to the checkered flag first. Fenwick settled for second, and Janisch was third. Yingling ran a smart face to take fourth. In the winner-take-all Dash For Cash, Janisch, on the Cannondale, read the light right and charged into the lead.
