the way to the end: Rounding finally got the nod, and Borders settled for filth. Link took the B-class win, ahead of McCarty and Hartzog, and his 3-1 finishes gave him the 250cc B overall. The Mini ranks had the largest gates of the day, and there was lots of close racing. Rans· dell's BOcc debut wasn't the only thing shaking, as fine rides were put in by several of the younger riders. In the eocc Junior class, Rans· dell swept both motos, ahead of a charging Kendall Mason and Brad Johnson, who fought long and hard for runner-up. Mississippi owned the Supennini class, as the top four riders came from the Magnolia State. KX-mounted Johnny Moore swept both motos after holding off the charges of Josh Eure and Jake Lowry. Bv ROCKY HASH SAN BERNARDINO, CA, JAN. 4 With more than 45 weeks of racing this year, Racing Enterprises Motorsports' weekly Glen Helen Saturday motocross season is hitting full stride. This week featured tight racing in many of the classes, as a new course layout challenged riders and machines alike. In the 65cc Beginner class, Brad "PaparaZZi" Pappalardo took the overall class win with a clean 1-1 sweep. Caden Probst followed him across the line in both motos for a 2-2 tally and second overall, while Nigel Crosby (3-3) filled out the top three on the day. Willie Miller took the Vet Junior class by the reins, winning both motos for the overall class win on the day. Chris Cullins came in second with a pair of second·place finishes, while Matt Burroughs took home the thirdplace brass after putting up a 3-4 performance. John Bolobeck turned a 5-3 tally into fourth overall, and Robert Goodnough was filth after posting 7 -5 finishes. Honda-mounted Mike Lopez bested a competitive field of 125cc Junior racers after following up his first-moto win with a second· place ride in the second race for first overall. Sam Beattie won the second moto, but his third-place finish in the first stanza relegated c1~sses. One rider who didn't falter all weekend long. Steinke, has been on a tear of late, although he's missed several rounds of the series due to contesting the Clear Channel Regional Arenacross Series. Steinke's first win of the weekend came in the BOcc (9- I 1) class, ahead of Benjamin Keel and Hillman, who this time was aboard a Yamaha. Steinke then added a Supermini-class win to his tally to finalize a Friday sweep, finishing ahead of Kawasaki rider Dominic Andreotti, Brad Goodson, and Hillman, who, on this night, contested three classes and finished with one win, a third and a fourth overall.
