incredibly fast and talented rider. Just before the white flag came out, he passed Dudek and took over the lead. Dubach went on to win for a perfect 1-1 day. Dudek (2-2) was the runner-up, while Amaradio regained his composure for another third-place finish and third overall on the day. Results 65 BEG: I. Brad Pappalardo (Kaw). 80 BEG.: I. The 125cc Intermediate riders prOVided most of the heated action at this event. The riders waging a three· way battle for the lead were David and Jon Meyers and Cas Swift. In the first mota, David got out early. with Swift on his tail. These two went handlebar to handlebar until Swift took over with a biockpass. A lap later, David returned the favor by cutting in front of Swift before the big infield double. This action slowed their momentum, and the two had to roll the jump. Jon took advantage of their situation by jumping over the two riders and stealing the lead and the eventual win. It wasn't an easy win, as the younger Meyers brother and Swift both caught up to him and matched his pace throughout the six-lap event. In the following Intermediate event, David failed to show. leaving the battle to Swift and Jon Meyers. When the gate dropped, Jon got the holeshot. but Swift took over early on, with Jon dogging his every move - until two turns before the finish line, when Swift lost the front wheel in the comer before the big double and handed the win and the overall to Jon Meyers. Swift later came out in the 125cc (16-25) class and won both motos. In the first race, David Meyers forced Swift to pick up the pace, but David crashed out midrace, allowing Swift to cruise home with an extended victory over Bobby Reiss. David did not start the second moto, and Reiss placed second, behind Swift. There was a hard.fought battle in the 125cc Novice division. Josh Navarro took over the lead from Robert Golden in the first moto, and Dayton Benegas recovered from a midpack start to finish a close second, behind Navarro. In the second moto, Benegas put things together right from the start. Navarro matched his every move throughout the fivelap event and even tried to elbow his way around, but Benegas withstood the pressure to take the moto and overall win from Navarro. • Golden finished third in both motos. Randy Rush had a good day of racing, capturing the overall honors in both the Veter· an Over 30 Intermediate and 250cc Novice classes. Joshua Huerta dominated both the 85cc Intermediate and Supermini classes. Huerta took repeat wins over Jake Oswald. Dakota Gamer placed third in both Supermini events. Garner WlllS the most watched rider in the class, as he repeatedly cleared the infieid dou· ble - a feat that many 125cc riders think twice about before attempting. Garner proved he was quick, also, by taking repeat wins in the 85cc (7-11) division. Results 50 (0-8) FIT SHAfT: 1. Austm Anderson (KTMl; 2. Albl!:rto Arnola (Hon); 3.
