Dakovich was looking for a way around Palmer at the start of the final lap when they came together in a comer and Dakovich came out in front, finishing a strong second. In moto two. Pederson again was in fourth out of the first tum, and again he wasted no time getting the lead and pulling away. There was a four·way battle for second between Palmer, Bryan Hunt, Dana Hunt and Dakovich. In the end, Dakovich made his way around and pulled away in second place, followed by Bryan Hunt in third. Pederson dominated the 125cc A and 250cc A classes the same way. In the 125cc A class, Derek Gibson was able to hold off Dakovich in both motos to secure second overall. Gibson also got second in the first ~ better overall score. Gibson, however was the fastest of the young guys, as he won the 16-24 A class. Also putting in a good ride on Sunday was I Nick Dietrich, who, after going down in the first 125cc B moto, was able to come back and win the second moto for second overall, behind Jesse Gildea. Dietrich also won the 16-24 B class. Dillon Rice dominated the C division, winning both the 125cc C and 250cc C classes. After the races were over on Sunday, awards were given out for the Dee lee Summer MX Series.
