!DII-Dle /IlIlW. Wray's Yamaha powered around the Honda of Criss and headed to the checkers. . Wray started out good in the 125cc Inter· [fd (::gG)~(::g~ mediate contest; he placed second in moto one, behind Justin Herrmann. Marcos Reyes crossed over a close third. In the following moto, Herrmann couldn't match the pace set by first-moto sixth·place finisher McAdams, but Herrmann's 1·2 punch was good enough for the overall. Reyes used a pair of threes to take second overail. McAdams finished third on the day, while Wray's 2-5 finishes kept him off the podium. In the 125cc (16·25) class, McAdams put his Suzuki out front in both motos to capture the overail. Josh Bourgeois·Sanchez turned in a 2-4 effort to eam the runner-up spot. Third was Danny Hart (4-3). David Meyers is aiways a contender in this event, and after tum one of moto one, he simply toid the others, "See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!I! However, while enjoy· ing a comfortable lead, Meyers' four-stroke started making popping noises and he dropped to last at the finish. Round two saw Meyers chasing McAdams, but at the check- ered he had to settle for the runner-up spot and fourth overall. In Veteran Over 30 action, Ken Lurcook squeezed in a win after losing moto one to Paul Cortez. In race two, Cortez dropped his Kawasaki, ending up with a 1-5 tally to. eam third overall. Second on the day went to Geoff Walters (3-2). The DeGarmo family had a good day. The younger Neal took repeat wins in the 250cc Novice class, and then came out and earned second overall in the Open class after trading wins with Jason Stinett. The older Neal went 2-2 in the Veteran Over 40 class, with Ron Adams taking the overall. Dayton Benegas, who had recently been sidelined with injuries, won the 125cc Novice class with a 3-1 tally. In the first race, Matt Ortega rode his Yamaha to the win, with Jack Musick second. Things turned around for Benegas in the following moto; Ortega dropped to fourth but earned the second-overali trophy. Brandon Freistat was third. In the 65cc ciasses, Kyle Corfman was once again the dominator. Corfman took repeat wins in the 65cc (9- 11) and Open classes. Colt Hubbs provided Corfrnan with some competition, as he finished second in both of the 65cc (9·11) races and then took repeat thirds in the Open class, behind Corf· man and Cameron Drown. Drown went 3-3 in the 65cc (9-11) class to finish third, behind Hubbs. Later, Hubbs won the Super Pee Wee class with repeat wins over Carlos Don. Results 50 (0·8) FIT SHAft: 1.
