Hazel's efforts to hold back the charging Nelson was, of course, unnecessary results-wise, but very impressive nonetheless. Morrison's 12 tally landed him in second on the night. Nel- son, however left no doubt as to who was the I fastest 125cc pilot on the night. by pulling a comfortable gap on the field by the end of both motos. "I know it's going to be a lot harder than it was tonight," said Nelson, when asked of how he felt the transition to the Pro ranks would treat him. Jimmy also mentioned that he'd be back for the "$25,000 race.' The contest to which Nelson was referring is the annual Alamotocross event, taking place this year on September 20 and 21 and boasting a $25,000 purse. With all that cash on the line, a tough Pro division is expected, and It should prove to be an excellent challenge for Nelson, as well as all the others on the gate. And, of course, all the other classes should be fairly stacked as well, offer up some competition for everyone.
