tions would allow, and I feel like I put together a pretty good race, but not good enough." Putting together a ride that was in fact "good enough" was Forrester. After taking the lead and opening a cushion of one minute on the field by the third lap, Moose/Scott/Factory Connection/IMS/M2R-backed Forrester continued to put in solid and consistent laps to ~~~ Eastern 4-Stroke Nationals Fen..'- C'-0551C maintain that same lead for much of the race. ~oo~ Even after a small blunder during his gas stop, Forrester recovered and held his ground all the way to the checkered flag. Leivan was finally able to make up some time on the last lap, but it was only 20 seconds and that wasn't nearly enough to challenge Forrester, who took the win by 40 seconds. Shaw capped off his solid day with the fmal podium position, a little over 4 1/2 minutes down. Stone ended up fourth on his Dell's Honda CR250 despite struggling with a sore shoulder that he injured at round nine. In fifth was Nesbitt, who had a very ordinary day in the dust and claimed to have been "just riding around" until Chris Thiele came calling with a lap to go. The two battled briefly, before Nesbitt pulled away while Thiele took sixth. Pursley was seventh, while Tracy - ---- Bauman took his first victory in the A class and claimed eighth overall. The Jones Powersports/Hansen's/Devol-backed KTM 300 rider took the class lead early on and put together the ride he's been waiting for. Caleb Wohletz brought his KTM 200 in for second in class and ninth overall, while David Taylor made it a KTM class sweep for third and 10th overall on a 400cc thumper. F&S Suzuki/Smith/Dunlop Tires/No Fear/Sidibacked Blair Bersano put on a riding clinic, easily taking the overall victory ahead of a large group of talented riders. Bersano is turning the comer on his road to recovery, as he had sat out rounds earlier in the season while recovering from complications from wrist injuries. "i felt pretty good out there today, commented Bersano. "Other than running out of fluid in my drinking system, I had a good day." The Polka Dots event has long been viewed as one of the favorites among the Michigan riders, as the track features a great mix of tight woods combined with a challenging motocross track. As the area had received a liberal soaking of rain prior to the race, the traction was as good as it gets. The Polka Dots club put up a $50 bonus to the rider who UCYCLE NEWS NEVER COVERS THE RACES IN MY AREA..."
