Richard Hilbert took the win in the Over 50 feature, over James Beck, Paul Allen and the rest of the pack, Tri-County Fairgrounds Gosselaar Takes Bishop In the smaller classes, Andrew Butler won the 50cc feature, over Danny Hasty, Jeremy Mounts and the rest of the field. The first three riders opened up a half-lap lead over the other Bv MlNOV G!u.EsPlE four riders. BISHOP, CA, AUG. 10 The second race in the Golden State Cycle Series in Bishop, California, was packed with great racing action for both the racers and the spectators. The races of the night were the aocc Intermediate and aocc Junior contests. Drew Gosselaar (brother of AMA 125cc Pro rider Chris Gosselaar) and local rider Casey Logan put on a show, battling throughout the whole race. Both Logan and Gosselaar were way out in front of the BOcc Intermediate pack, easily clearing the triple with major air. in the first mota, Gosselaar took the holeshot and kept the lead throughout the race. Logan was not far behind him, continually trying different lines to get by him. In the second mota, Logan took the holeshot, and the battie for first went back and forth until Gosselaar took a line that was just a bit faster than Logan's, and he took the hardware for the night. The aocc Junior class featured another exciting race. Locals Justin PoweJl and Chris Hoodman, along with Jared Brown, battied back and forth throughout both motos. Hoodman ended up taking first for the night. In a combined 60/aOcc feature, Mounts won the 60cc part, while Joey Ratz led Tyler Allen and Adam Carpenter across the line to win the aocc part. Tim Humphries and Tyler Sheppard were the class of the 100cc feature, building up a huge lead in their battle for first place. Humphries prevailed over Sheppard, Aaron Brown, Gina Ward, Scott Hasty and Cody Agee. Joey Britton and Ratz waged a war for first place in the 125cc feature, with Britton coming out on top. Ratz took second, ahead of Tyier Ailen, Keith Maggard and Adam Carpenter. Sheppard took the 250cc feature, over Joe Britton Sr.• Jamie Deiner and Jamey Carter. Jim Lee puiled off when his Bultaco decided to take a break. The Combo feature went to Behrle, though Mike Butler made him earn his win. Butler got the holeshot and led for a couple of laps before Behrle got by Butler on the front stretch. For the rest of the race, Butler put pressure on Behrle, but he had to settle for second place, ahead of Sam Lowe, Joei Brown and the rest of the pack.
