both the 125cc and 250cc Pro events. Originally titled "Thunder in the Valley," the event was recently moved to the mountains in hopes of escaping the three-digit heat of EI Centro while offering the riders some different terrain on which to test themselves. Eugenio wasted no time positioning him- self out front as he made the best of the short strllight heading into tum one. Once out front, Eugenio executed his plan of distancing him- self from the pack. Once in the clear, he headed straight for the checkered flag - in all four of hjs motos. In the 125cc Pro chase, Robby Bell was consistent with a pair of thirds to earn his second-place purse. Jon Meyers brought home the third-place money as he went 2-4 on the day. In 250cc Pro action, Meyers earned second, over Aaron Tuck. There were two riders in the 250cc Expert class. Britton Rodd bested Bell to take home the overall honors. Jake Oswald had all the right moves in the 80cc Expert class, as he put together double wins, first over Tyler Smith, and then Tyler Willmon. Smith earned the second spot with a third- and second-place showing. Willmon was third with a 2-3 showing. The day's action was divided into 15 classes, with the largest class being the 125cc Novice class, which was won by Brock Tidwell. In moto one, Tidwell couldn't match the pace of Andrew Najera, and he also allowed Brian Padilla to reach the checkers first. But in the following round, Tidwell made all the right moves and led the pack into tum one and to the checkered flag. Najera earned second overall with his 1-3 effort, while Oswald finished third after putting in a 5-2 day. In the small· bore class. Adam Saracusa could do no wrong. Saracusa took repeat 50cc Novice wins from Donny Findahl to take home top bragging rights. Results 50 NOV: I. Adam SlIracusa; 2. Donny F1ndahl; 3. Brendan HndaN; 4. MIchael Duran 60 NOV: l.
