trict 16's Kyle Meiers. He and District 23's
Shawn Burr squared off in two classes on the
night. Earlier in the program, Meiers won the

and Travis Waschek in tow.
Later, Meiers was lined up for the Open A
final, where Burr soon greeted him. After the
start, Meiers took and held the lead throughout much of the race, with Burr right on his
tail. On the last lap, Burr took the lead from
Meiers, and as they approached turn three,
Meiers dived to the inside and answered back.
However, Meiers overcooked the groove
between turns three and four, where Burr
wisely tucked back to the inside of Meiers and
won an exciting drag race to the checkered
flag. Richard Waschek. Koch and Schwarzenbacher rounded out the top five positions.
Meiers and Burr were at it again in the
505cc Amateur class, where Meiers scored a
less dramZltic win, with Burr in hot pursuit. The
Over 40 event winner, Dan Zitur, finished
third, ahead of Travis Waschek and an everconsistent Koch.
In the quick-hits department; District 16's
Nick Smith pulled double duty by winning the
85cc Mini and Open Mini classes. District 23
