Earlier in the program, Meiers won the ~ 250cc A class going away, with Brock Schwarzenbach, Troy Solnitsky, Josh Koch a. and Travis Waschek in tow. Later, Meiers was lined up for the Open A final, where Burr soon greeted him. After the start, Meiers took and held the lead throughout much of the race, with Burr right on his tail. Koch and Schwarzenbacher rounded out the top five positions. Meiers and Burr were at it again in the 505cc Amateur class, where Meiers scored a less dramZltic win, with Burr in hot pursuit. The Over 40 event winner, Dan Zitur, finished third, ahead of Travis Waschek and an everconsistent Koch.
