Los Angeles County Raceway: Ariel Greer (128) and Zack Fullmer (419) blast off the line in the second 125cc Beginner moto during CRC Saturday night motocross action in Palmdale, California. Fullmer went 1-1 for the win, Vet Pro class as they went at it over the lead in both races, with the more aggressive Holley Costa Mesa Speedway getting to the checkers first each time. Brant Doubles for Dad's Day Tru-Tec's Rich Truchinski and Frank Costanzo finished third and fourth. respectively. Broc Stewart continued his recent reign of the 85cc Beginner class with a perfect 1-1 showing. Lane Morrison had his hands full with rival Cody Van Acker to go 2-2 for the second-place trophy. Van Acker (4-3), Brandon Gaddie (3-5) and Chelsea Candido (5-4) rounded out the top five. One lap in, Brant LODI, CA, JUNE 15 "Boo Boo" Bob Scally is someone everyone likes to see at the local track, and he was back this week for round 17 of District 36 race action at Lodi Cycle Bowl. A few weeks ago, his Triumph mount - "Old Tsusty" - seized on the track, throwing Scally off and scattering parts everywhere. This week, Scally, back aboard "Old Trusty: was racing in a field of was already ready to take over when Larsen ran into his rear wheel. Both ended up on the ground, and after some serious body inventory, both were able to restart. Larsen was deemed the cause and sent to the penalty line. six riders, including his buddy Eric Turner. known off the track as "the ATK Boy: On any given day, Turner can be seen riding through the trees of Skyline Boulevard like a road racer on his ATK, but on the track he rides a Rolax. Scally and Turner have competed on many occasions, but this night was of particular interest, because this time it was Turner who crossed the finish line first. In the Over 40 A Vintage event, T umer and Scally went into tum one elbow to elbow, with Bud Riddle close behind. Coming out of that tum, Turner went by Scally on the outside and held the lead throughout the race. Scally worked the track hard to overtake Turner, but Turner djdn't falter, riding a perfect race to the victory. The Vet C race provided some excitement, as Tyce Heebner and Ray Diaz jumped into the front at the start. Heebner and Diaz pulled away from the pack, while, in the rear, Hershel Myers was working his way up through the field one by one from sixth. Myers got by Diaz and then, on the last lap, he passed Heebner, too, to finjsh first. Craig "C.D." Howell, Garrett Willis and Stephen Sikorski were all winners in their respective 1OOce events. George Cabrera rode a great 60c race.
