Only one other rider among the 261 on hand managed to pull out double~class wins during the competitive evening at Weatherford MX Park. and that was Scotty Wennerstrom, who won the 85cc (14-16) and 85cc Open classes. Antepara's win in the 125cc Novice class came by way of two moto wins among the 19-rider gate. He was also the only rider in the class to finish with a consistent score. Secondplace honors went to Steve McWilliams, who volleyed from a fourth-place first-moto finish to placing second in moto two. Brandon Baccus chased Antepara to the finish line in moto one, but a fifth-place finish in the second moto displaced him to third overall. In the 100-125cc Schoolboy contest, Antepara enter the first tum in the lead, but it was Daniel Martin who led out of the tum and onto the course. Immediately, a blistering pace was set with Scott Morgan in third and 80cc rider Wennerstrom in fourth. Near the top of lap two, Wennerstrom literally flew by Morgan over the triple to land in third and immediately set to work to track down YZ250F-mounted Antepara. Wennerstrom struck his mark in the first tum on the final lap and passed Antepara, but he lacked the time and track to catch Martin before the checkered flag came out. Antepara repeated his holeshot in moto two, with Wennerstrom, Morgan and Blake Keeth in pursuit; Martin was absent from the gate. Wennerstrom got into Antepara's wake and they both raced closely throughout the moto, going side by side into lap four. The final lap saw both of them swap positions back and forth several times on the far side of the track, with Antepara marking his ground and holding the lead to take the win and the overall. Wennerstrom finished close in second with a 2-2 tally for second overall, while Morgan went 4-3 for third. Kyle Cunningham got the goods on Wennerstrom in the first 85cc Open moto to take the win. Sean Hackley Jr. finished third, followed by Brandon Pipkin and Trevor Hayes. When the gate dropped in moto two, Wennerstrom was out front, with Cunningham at his back. Both riders were relentless in their pursuit of the checkered flag, neither one giving quarter all the way to the finish. Hackley held down third again, followed by Pipkin and Teddy Parks.
