Honda rider Bo Bowman and Suzuki jockey
David Kilgore could not have scripted a better
day at Ohio Intemational Raceway. Both riders
won all their motos and led just about
every lap.
Bowman, from Berlin Center, Ohio, took
his Street Track [, Trail/Pro Action/Scott/pJl
Hondas to the overall wins in the LJghtweight
and Heavyweight Pro classes.
In the first Heavyweight mota, Jared
Meister, on a Kames/Midwest Motorsports/
Smith/Sinisalo/Gaerne Honda four-stroke,
grabbed the lead and held it for just under one
lap. Bowman picked up the pace and pushed
his CR250R past. He continued to pull three to
five seconds per lap on the rest of the pack.
Meister held second, with Suzuki rider Todd
Streit coming on strong for third.
In mota two, Bowman led from start to finish. Streit was fourth off the line but quickly
moved into second. Meister gated sixth but
was in third by the second lap. The two racers
battled hard for the runner-up position. Streit
came out on top and claimed second overall,
but Meister was right on his rear fender, waiting for a mistake that never came.
Bowman also dominated the Lightweight
Pro dass, with a lot of action behind him
between Yamaha riders Nick Wylie, Matt
Macan and Cory Skinner. Macan and Wylie
fought over second in the first mota, with
Skinner working up from a bad start. Macan
then crashed and retired, and Skinner finished
third. In mota two, it was Skinner getting the
edge over Wylie for second overall.
Kilgore. on a Maxima/Boyesen/Twin
Air/Krause/Dunlop Suzuki, won both 125cc B
matos, with Yamaha rider Ken Vogt taking
second and Honda-mounted Josh Kampa finishing third. Kampa had to come from behind
in both motos. Kilgore was the dominant rider
in the 250cc B and Extra dasses as well.
Looking strong and confident out front, he
took six out of six moto wins without much
resistance.
In the Senior Mini class, Thomas Beckett
Jr., on an FMF/FCR/M2R/RK/Excell KX85,
took the overall after battling with Ryan Boyer
and Andy Sczypta. Boyer had the lead in both
motos but drifted back to 3-3 finishes. Sczypta
took mota one, with Beckett in tow. Secondmoto action had Beckett taking the win and
the overall, holding off Sczypta, who was looking for a way around at every comer.

mota in the Over 25 division on a big
