Texas Series Ro nd 2: Oak Hill Motocross Park Holladay onthe Holiday By KAT SPANN AND THE BECKSTER He has produced original artwork for event programs at the Milwaukee Mile and Road America as well as special art projects for Watkins Glen,Memphis Motorsports Park, Gateway International Raceway, the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach, Kimberly-Clark, Toyota, Miller Brewing Company, and Ralph Marlin Ties. DECATUR, TX, Jl\AY 12 haz Holladay presented his mom with two class wins for Mother's Day in the 65cc Open and 85cc (7 -11) events at round two of the 30th annual Texas Series, hosted by Oak Hill Motocross Park. Although high winds blew throughout the day, the 262 riders on hand didn't allow it to interfere with their racing. Holladay got the holeshot in the first 85cc (7-11) moto, with Tyler Wharton and Corey Self following. Wharton reeled in Holladay on lap two and made his move on lap three in the bowl turn in section 11. Holladay stuck to Wharton for the remaining three laps but was unable to retake the lead. Self finished third, followed by Tye Jackson and Dillon Tynes. Holladay got the holeshot in the second moto, chased once again by Wharton. This time, however, Holladay held off Wharton to the checkers to claim not only the moto win but the overall as well. Wharton's second awarded him the same position overall, while Self (3-3) finished third overall. Adam Mennenga snared the holeshot in the first 250cc Expert moto on his Bill Stevens CR250. Beau Boynton gated second, with Chad Plumlee in third, followed by Dwain Carter and Bryan Piccirelli. Plumlee stayed close to Boynton for half of the seven-lap moto before Boynton managed to shake him off and gain some distance on him.
