With the completion of the first two days of racing, there was mounting excitement as everyone was doing the math to calculate the current points totals. The top riders all knew there was a $1500 gift waiting for each class' first-place finisher to help with expenses toward the trip to Springfield in June. In Sunday's TT, Martin finished first again in the 50cc class. Over 30 rider Ed Andrews and 250cc rider Stewart Barber also repeated. Bobby Fong garnered another victory in the 85cc class, and Jim Wood was victorious on all three days in the Pro Sport class. The three-day 65cc winner was Chad Cose. The 600cc Modified race was an edge-of-your-seat event. Sam Halbert got the holeshot, with Moore in hot pursuit. At the hairpin during the fifth lap, Moore came in under Halbert and almost made the pass, but rus bike quit, leaving him out of the race and allowing his brother Jethro to take second.
