Shawn Clark took the holeshot and the win in the 125cc A class on a Dreyer Cycle/Team Green Kawasaki, in front of Yamaha-mounted Rod Marshall and Thor/Paul's Cycle Supply Yamaha rider T.J. Blake. The mud didn't seem to bother Clark, who was still doing the triple jumps on his 125, and Marshall finished a strong second, in front of Blake. Wolfe finished fourth, and Suzuki of Greenville's Steve Cross took fifth place. Clark also took the holeshot for the win in the 125cc Youth class, in front of Brandon Miller, on a Scott/Max Pitts Yamaha. Marshall took both wins in the Over 25 A and Over 30 A classes. Jason Schmidt finished second in the Over 25 A class on an S&S Powersports Suzuki, and Honda pilot Richard Farmer took second place in the Over 30 A class. Jones took the holeshot in the Over 25 B class for the wire-to-wire win. Yamaha-mounted Randy Bruder held second place at the end of the first lap but was passed by Chad Scharlow, on a Diamond Billiard Products Inc. Yamaha, on lap two. Bruder stayed close but couldn't retake the position, and KTM rider Mike Royalty finished fourth. Greg Rowland took the holeshot in the Over 30 B class on a Cycle Tech/Big 4 Cycle Suzuki, in front of Bruder and KTM rider Ricky Sizemore. Bruder passed Rowland on the last lap for the win, with Sizemore taking third place, in front of Kawasaki jockey Ed Leohr and Hondamounted Jared Chastain. Chris Brown led every lap for the win in the 16-24 class on a Podium One/Twisted Clothing Husqvarna. Lewis finished second, and Egan Callahan took third on an Indy MX-backed Yamaha. The Mini classes were the largest of the day, and Yamaha-mounted James Ogle took the holeshot for the wire-to-wire win in the Senior Mini (12-15) class, in front of Shane Hayden, on a Station Park Honda. Anthony Walker moved up to finish third, followed by Honda rider Tommy Schott and Yamaha-mounted Jeremy Royalty. Kawasaki jockey Jacob Rowland took the holeshot in the Junior Mini (7 - 11) class, in front of Cody Reas, on an Answer Kawasaki, and Yamaha of Madison's Michael Romero. Reas took the lead on the first lap for the win, and Romero took second place on lap two. Rowland finished third, and Nathan Campbell moved up two positions late in the race on a Max Pitts Kawasaki to finish fourth, in front of Colton Chapman, on a Zaps Cycles Kawasaki. Romero took the holeshot in the 60cc class for the win, in front of Chapman and Reas, and Jake Baumert finished fourth on a RYP/Zip Express KTM, in front of D.J. Hughes, on a Bridgestone/A TV Connection KTM. eN Podium One Motopllx CharflstDwn, Indian. Results: April 27, 2002 [Round 5 at 181 50 STK (7·8): I. Jeke Beumert (Cob): 2. Tyler Phillips (KTM): 3.
