Robinson, Sorrels and Storrie. Ryan Cox made a last-lap pass on Conners to claim fifth. The Junior-class race proved to be exciting, as Josh White claimed his first victory of the season. White, riding a Yamaha four-stroke, found the thumper was just the ticket in the slick, muddy conditions. On the first lap, Chaz Green checked through the scoring tent with the lead, followed by Jesse Maupin and White. On the third lap, White pushed his thumper past YZ-mounted Green for good. Green held second in front of a charging Jake Young. At the checkers, it was White, Green and Young filling the again it was the same duo behind him, but this time Elliot occupied the second spot while Muhlbach and his Honda hounded him. Triest took the checkers with an even bigger gap than in the first moto, while Elliot barely held off Muhlbach for the second spot. Jason Cameron, who placed eighth in the first moot, fared much beller with a solid fourth, while Snyder again rounded out the top five, taking fourth overall on the day. Hurlburt mustered up a seventh-spot finish to take fifth overall on the day. In 250cc Intermediate action, Chris Stewart took a pair of dominant wins. Stewart left no question as to who was the fastest Intermediate on the track, as he won by huge margins in both motos aboard a potent Yamaha. While Stewart kept it simple up front, things were more complicated behind him, as moto scores were all over the place. Tim Stowe came out the best, as he piloted his Suzuki to second overall on the day, carding a 4-3 moto score. Jeff Marsh followed up with a 5-4 tally, which was good enough for third on the day, while the first-moto second-place finisher, Bryce Olson, placed a disappointing seventh in the second moto for fourth on the day. Fifth on the day went to Aaron Youse via 6-5 moto score. Scores were a little bit more consistent in the 250cc Beginner class, at least for the top two, as Corey Todd aced both motos for the win while Manuel Gill followed up with a pair of deuces for the second spot. However, behind them, moto scores mirrored those of the Intermediates, as KTM pilot Kregg Karpowich snagged third spot on the day via a 6-3 tally, ahead of Trevor Smith, who rode to a 9-4 score on the day. Brandon Snow rounded out the top five with a more consistent 6-5 score. ION podium positions. Brandon Crawford and Dillon Fleming rounded out the top five. As the Mid-South Championship Youth Series ended its first season, the riders are looking forward to next year, and everyone is grateful to all the promoters, parents and riders that made this year a success.
