" This ominous prophecy of disaster seems to ring true to many promoters on the occasion of their first event. The motorcycling Seeley family of New Concord, Ohio, put in more than six months of effort for this scheduled first round of the East Coast Pit Bike Nationals. Then Mother Nature stepped in to alter things a little. In the first moto, Jeff Jennings ~as first to tum one, but Bran· don Stooksbury took the moto win. John Wisenbarger snared the second-moto holeshot, with Karrle on his back tire. Wisen- barger ran into trouble, and Karrle moved into the lead and took the win. Jay Weller (4-4) and Stooksbury (1-9) carded second and third overall. The 250cc B Stock wins were up for grabs, with nine different riders placing in the top five in individual motos. Steve Horton was the only rider to finish in the top five in both motos, going 3-5 for second overall. Zachary Haning took the moto-one win. Kyle Huening got the second-moto holeshot. Horton passed into the lead but then had problems. Wisenbarger (7 -1) took over first and got the overall. Daniel Durham aced both 85cc (12-13) Stock motos. Andrew Dewess got the firstmoto holeshot but Durham took the lead and checked out. Scott Sears and Patrick Boyle finished second and third. Jesse Frassetto got the moto-two holeshot, followed by Durham and Boyle. Frassetto crashed and Durham took the win, with Boyle in second. Amaradio finally made a move stick in the back canyon and forged Into the lead. Once out front, Amaradio was able to scratch out a little distance on Ward. Davis rode well in third and was keeping the leaders honest.
