the very competitive 250cc/Open B class.
Gary Girnus came out on top. Gimus got to
the point position early on lap one and was
being chased by Roberto Pozos and Steve
Wattner. Pozos fell off the pace, but Wattner
~TOVOTA
kept the racing close. Going into the last lap,
Wattner was 30 seconds behind Gimus, and at
the finish he was right on Gimus' tail, with
only one second separating the two riders.
The Junior Boys class had a new winner
on this day. Motorcycle Parts LTD/Bridgestone Tire-sponsored Michael Cardwell was
able to grab the holeshot and carry it to a convincing win, over Suzuki-mounted Randy
Rhoades and Carter Burkholder. The Junior
Boys class is shaping up to be a real fight to
the finish for the overall class championship.
The overall C victory went to 25Occ/Open
C-c1ass rider Aaron Kuhn, who opened up a
huge lead on all the other C-c1ass riders and
went uncontested to the win.
Andre Etheridge took the 50cc win, and
Tracy Cloy grabbed the 60cc C win. The
series next moves east to the woods of
Centerville. Texas, for round four.
