Enochs; the Fresno rider placed
second in each outing.
Honda-powered Joshua Grant
stole some of Pugmire's thunder, winning both the Supermini and 85cc
Modified (14-15) classes. He swept
the 85cc Modified class but had to
trade race victories with Yamaha rider
Robert Memoli in the Supermini contest, gaining the overall with the
strength of the all-important secondmoto win. Memoli wasn't to be denied
his time in the spotlight, as he victorious in the 85cc Stock (12-13) class.
Few were surprised that Yamaha
rider Elizabeth Bash was the top
rider in the Women's races, barely
edging Honda rider Kayla Olson in
the 80-105cc (12-15) class and taking third overall behind Suzuki rider
Sheena Patterson and Yamaha rider
Kaide Garret in the Over 125 rounds.
With four more rounds of qualifiers
still on the schedule, this weekend's
opening salvos certainly have set the
tone for things to come, and championship titles might very well be going
to some of the riders listed here in
the results...
