Third at the checkers went to Frank Mattocks, with Anthony Lorek making his way around Earl Penny Jr. for fourth. Reina got the upper hand off the start in moto two to lead Hoover, Lorek and Mattocks. Reina continued on unchallenged for the first-moto win. Hemme closed in on Elwell on the final circuit but had to settle for a thirdplace finish. Fourth went to Kyle Jenkins, with Mark Brewer putting a last-lap pass on Jason Monahan for fifth. Reina put his JMG Motorsports/EVS/ Zeal/Motul-backed YZ250F into the point position at the drop of the gate in moto two. By the end of lap one, Reina had his hands full with Brett Klein and Elwell. Reina fought off the challenges of the Honda-mounted duo for a couple of laps before upping the pace and pulling away for a sweep of the field.
