Enterprises Motorsports' fifth annual No Fear MX Winter Series - sponsored by No Fear MX, Wiseco, Pro Valve Race Service, OSP, One Industries, AMP Research Bed Xtender, Haro Bikes, Acerbis, Smith, Superfeet and Motul was marked by perfect early-spring Southem California weather, as well as a new and chal- lenging track layout. In the always competitive Vet Junior ranks, David Berger piloted his KTM SX 400 to the overall class win by virtue of a perfect 1-1 showin9. Berger pulled two holeshots and, after early battles in both matos, he went on to win each race going away. Gary Scott showed the value of consistent riding, as his 4-2 rides were good for the runner-up position on the day, while threes were wild for KTM 250 pilot Tim Harris, whose 3-3 finishes earned him third place overall. Steve Kwait was fourth with his 6~4 showing, while helmet painter extraordinaire Jerry Bemardo filled out the top five after posting an 8-7 tally on his Vamaha WR426F. G(!Iry Gonzales took control of the series championship points chase in the Over 40 Junior class with another convincing '1-1 out- Starwest Motocross Park: Kentucky's Ben Riddle took both holeshots and both moto wins in the 250cc Pro class in Moreno Valley, California. Donnie Kearney, who seems to have earned the nickname "Holeshot King, to was impressive in the 85cc (0-11) division. Kearney took the firstmoto holeshot, followed closely by Tony Blood and Danny Gonzales until Gonzales experienced some me<::hanical problems. The battle for third was then between Scott Noble and Nick Paluzzi; Paluzzi got by Noble in the whoops and took over third. Kearney took the win, followed by Blood and Paluzzi. It was no surprise when Kearney nailed the second-moto holeshot, followed by Blood and Garrick Noble. Kearney took control of the track, whjle Blood was waiting for him to make a mistlIke. Garrick was impressive as he continued to shut down Paluzzj's pass attempts. Making no mistakes, Kearney took the win, followed by Blood a:nd Garrick Noble. Jake Canada won tho 65cc (9-11) and 65cc Open classes, followed by Paluzzi and David Meade. Shawn Gritten had no problems taking the win in the 65cc (6-8) division, followed by Daniel Paluzzi and Crash Bell. Keeping his momentum going after winning two titles in Texas, Daniel Paluzzi was not backing down in the 50cc (7-8) division. Daniel took his yellow flying machine to two mota wins, followed by Erick Yorba and Skyler Hawkins.
