highlight of his day was more likely his 1-1 victory in the 125cc division, ahead of Michael Diloreto in second and Jesse Duncan in third. Finally, the 125cc Junior divisions featured a pair of standout performances from division winners Wes Peebles and J.L. Bitz. Peebles took his Kawasaki to the Division One win via a pair of convincing moto wins, while Bitz used 2-2 scores (aboard a YZ85) to top Division Two. Bitz also topped the 80cc Intermediates with a 1-1 score, though not without an exciting second-moto challenge from 60cc (10 and older) winner Tyler York. After suffering problems in the first moto, York had nothing to lose, and he and Bitz staged a race-long battle that left onlookers visibly impressed with what may have been the best race of the day. Victorville Motocross Complex No Hype - Walker's the Winning Type By BOB AllOY VICTORVILLE, CA, MAR. 9 One would think they were watching Pro Supercross as Master A rider Scotty Walker flew over all those double and triple jumps with supers peed and gaining awesome heights, but actually he was one of the 54 ROTMXers who came out to Victorville MX to witness Walker perform some pretty good stuff with amazing style. Lapping several racers in mota one, Walker scored a flawless first-mota win, and, despite the fact that he stalled his Yamaha in mota two, that mota's outcome was much the same, as he quickly passed and led three laps before h..is winning finish. Richard Lamis rushed out into the early lead and just kept on zooming ahead of the other 11 Over 40 Amateurs for all five laps until it was over. John Timmermans, always a worthy opponent, just couldn't find his way past and chased him in for second. Scott Mays zipped in with third, followed by Gary Kompleski. Lamis shot out with the lead again in moto two and led for a couple of laps until Timmermans swept pass. Timmermans then owned the track, and the win was his. Lamis stayed dose and collected second, while Rob Ruder powered his fast Yamaha across with third, followed by Mays. There was lots of excitement in the competition between Novices Chris Dysart and Greg Landers in moto one. Dysart took the eariy lead until Landers swept past on lap two. Dysart stayed in hot pursuit, and it paid off when he made a successful pass on Landers after chasing him for two laps. Dysart held Landers back all the way to the checkers. A
