(Above) Mark Tilley took top overall honors in the 250cc Pro class. (Right) John Tomac was victorious in the Vet Expert class· and his son Eli didn't fare too badly th!'Oughout the weekend, either. enough to take the actual 250cc Proclass Pro/Am championship. In the same moto, but starting on gate two, the Vet Experts followed the 250cc Pros and Intermediates for six laps each moto, and no one worked harder to earn moto wins than John Tomac, who suffered poor starts in both outings but managed to earn the checkered flag in each moto to not only claim Sunday's Vet Expert overall but the Pro/Am championship as well. Not to be outdone, Eli matched his father's efforts in the 60cc (0-8) class, as expected. And, also as expected, the Alessi brothers once again put the hurt on their competition in their respective classes. Jeff went 1- 1 without a fight in the 80cc (4-11) contest, and Mike did the same in the 80cc (12-13) class. Mike also got the nod in Supermini competition, followed by Jeff and third-placed Devin Sullivan. Honda pilot Grant bested Suzukimounted Chris Niham to take 80cc (14-16) honors for the day and the weekend. Mike Alessi wasn't alone, however, in his double-class championship efforts. Polini pilot Dalton Davis rode consistently all weekend to take 50cc Stock (7-8) and 50cc Modified (7 -8) honors, while Clayton Miller took his Yamaha 125cc and 250cc machines to both Intermediate-class championships.
