2 win in the 250cc Pro class, followed by Motocross Plus-backed Don Bisceglia of Tualatin, Oregon, and Joe McCraw of Milwaukie, Oregon. Bussell raced at the arenacross in Reno the previous two days, and he was glad to reel in the win on hjs third day in a row of tough racing. Motorcycle USA.com/De Marino/ Thor-sponsored Mason Watson of Central Point, Oregon, took the 125cc Novice-class win, followed by Jacob Purchot of Doyle in his best finish to date. Purchot has made a steady and noticeable improvement over the season, and he hopes to move up to the Intermediate class next year. "I think racing in the Intermediate class will be fun," Purchot said, "and I can't wait to tackle the Intermediate and Pro section of MX 395." Terry West of Reno, Nevada, was third, with North Edison Auto Bodybacked Robert Clark taking fourth. In the always-competitive 125cc Intermediate class, horsepower was the deciding factor as to who would be the quickest up MX 395. Probably the longest uphill in motocross, MX 395 climbs 400 vertical feet by the time you reach the top! Devin Watson put his Yamaha to the test on this extremely demanding track and came away victorious. Matt Forbes of Sparks, Nevada, and Michael White of Chester did their best to keep Watson in sight, and they finished the day in second and third overall, respectively. The Pee Wee riders enjoyed an excellent day of racing on their very own track, complete with a supercross-style start gate. The kids had their race faces on to compete for great trophies and medals and, most importantly, the "bragging rights" at school in the week ahead. Six-yearold Matthew Bisceglia took a welldeserved first overall with two firstplace moto finishes in the Pee Wee (4-6) class, followed by T.J. Eidhammer and Wesaly Hendrick in second and third, respectively. The 7: to 8year-old class was won by Chris Wentz, with Jessie Gorbet taking second. Kaelie Pena, one of Honey Lake's favorite female racers, has been improving each round, and she claimed third overall for the day. At the completion of the awards ceremony, Larry Wosick drew a name from the list of 60 volunteers and awarded a motorcycle to Reno's Libby Mott, who said she would give the motorcycle to her brother for Christmas so he can race. Volunteers received one drawing ticket each time they came to volunteer. The motorcycle will be presented to Libby on New Year's Day at the Hangover Marathon Race that will be held at the track.
