Nelson tried his luck at the Oatfield Raceway and came away a double-class winner, acing both the
125cc Intermediate and Schoolboy
classes at round four of the AMP/GFI
Super Gold Cup Octoberfest Series,
presented by Swift Auto World and
Merced Powersports. Making his first
appearance at the Oatfield Raceway,
the Team Yamaha/Thousand Oaks/
FMF/Oakley-backed rider quickly
took a liking to the AMP-prepped
track and, most importantly, kept his

followed up, while Adam Miller put in
a good effort for third. David Gassin
and R. Jarid Blevins rounded out the
top five.
As moto two gated, the crowd

Nelson and Morrison, but Miller decided he wanted a piece of the action, so
he grabbed the holeshot aboard a
healthy Yamaha YZ250F. With Morrison and Nelson lurking close behind,
Miller actually began to pull away
ever so slightly. However, Nelson
knew he had to get up front in a
hurry, and he made a pass on Morrison at the midway point. With Miller in
sight, Nelson made his move on lap
six, although Miller made him work for
it. Meanwhile, Morrison, who was still
