The 250cc main event was comprised of the top five riders from both heat races and the top five from the semi, for a total of 15 of the top Pros in attendance. Morais knew what had to be done. "I knew I needed to get a start and just pull away from the guys as fast as I could," he said. Morais did just that, grabbing the early lead and opening a comfortable gap over the mighty four-stroke of Woods for the iength of the race and the eventual victory. Young was a solid third, and Gosselaar worked his way through the field from a dead-last start to finish fifth, right on the heels of Blair in fourth. "This turned out great," Morais said. "Tonight started out really difficult but finished perfectly." Morais also returned Sunday in the TT event for the class title as well, topping a large field of entrants. "This was something completely different than what I am used to," Morais said, "but it was really fun out there today." CN HSTRC 250 NOV: 1. Enc: 0I1en: 2. Edward Gaines. HSTRC 250 tNT: I.
