the holeshot on his 105cc bike (in a field of 125s), with Koch and Rosete close behind. Rosete took over first after the second turn and never looked back, adding seconds to his lead each lap to win by an eight-second margin. Koch took second away from Meeks on the third lap and held to the finish. In mota two, Meeks again reveled in the holeshot, however short-lived. Rosete took over first quickly and built a 10-second lead by the final lap, going 1-1 for the overall win. Morgan plowed past Meeks over the infield table to take over second. Meeks retaliated, and the two swapped second place three times on the last lap, with Morgan coming out the victor. In the 125cc B class, Darren Fortin pulled the holeshot, with Spencer Jones in tow, pushing hard to catch up. By the second lap, Fortin had apparently stalled out in the second comer of the S-turns, leaving Jones to take the lead, with Russell Clay behind. Despite a few challenges from Clay, Jones retained the lead to the checkers. In the second mota, Fortin went out with a blown motor, leaving Jones and Clay to entertain the crowd. Clay took the holeshot, with Jones and William Hill right behind. Over the infield tabletop, Jones and Hill bumped in the air; both landed safely, and Jones pulled away to find Clay. A bobble in the corner before the whoops let Jones close in on Clay, and the two began the game of ·Who's In First" - one would take the inside, the other would rail the outside. Clay cut off Jones in the final corner, and the deal was sealed. Clay took the checkered flag and the overall with 2-1 finishes. eN Thundercross MDtonpDrts Park Olleec:hDbee, Florida Results: September 3, 2001 lRound 3) (Kaw): 3. Roy Uetz (Suz): 4.
