Highlands Motocross Parte Dave Shade (X) took the holeshot In the second moto of the combined 125cc and 250cc Expert and Intermediate contest, ahead of Vince Kacir (155) and Jason Lovell (279), at the penultimate round of the STC Stubbs Cycle Stars Over Texas Night'Series In Highlands. Fox got the start he needed in the second moto, jumping out to the lead early and never looking back. Teague was riding his wheels off, trying to get out of second and into the lead. Teague's efforts kept him close to Fox, but a fall on the third lap opened up the moto. Teague's fall was all Erck needed to scoot into second, ahead of the Wild West-sponsored Teague. Teague remounted in fourth and would only be able to charge back to third. Fox took the checkers and the overall with a 2-1 night. Teague's 1-3 tally was still good enough to edge out Gas Brothers Racing's Erck for second overall. Sean Cherry took home the big brass in the 250cc Novice class with a perfect 1-1 evening. The Twisted Clothing-backed Cherry dominated both motos in convincing fashion, ahead of Bernie Fischbach, who had a close battle for second with Michael Amos, as the two thumpers diced for position.
