PAlJ'\DALE, CA, AUG. 11
For the second week in a row at Los Angeles

National Cross Country contender Mike
Kiedrowski went home with the first-place
money in both the Vet and 250cc Pro classes,
during. the FMF-sponsored round of Califorrua

Kiedrowski, on his Suzuki Motor
Corp./FMF{ScottiAxo-sponsored RM250, saw
things go his way throughout both Vet motos,
as he turned a pair of holeshots into runaway
victories over Troy Welty and Frank Costanzo.
Nick Mairose got the holeshot in the first
250cc Pro moto, but within a lap he was
passed by both Kiedrowski and Michael
Young. Kiedrowski ended up leading every
lap, with Young keeping him honest right up
until the checkers. Jeremy Chaussee overcame a last-place start to earn third, ahead of
Mairose and Andy Grider.
In moto two, Kiedrowski got the start, but
within a couple of laps he had his hands full
with Young end Chaussee, who were right on
his back fender. Young and Chaussee pressured Kiedrowski throughout the race, and
with time running out Young tried a questionable move on the inside of Kiedrowski while
entering a tum that put both riders on their
