enough real estate left for the 14year-old Yamaha rider to preserve the overall. Smulders stayed in the lead and kept his amazing win streak alive by going 3-1 for the overall. Schick's consistency garnered the runner-up honors, while Hopkins posted 1-3 scores for third. Alan Jonas won both Masters Over 25 motos on his YZ426F four-stroke. Jonas hooked up really well on the hard-pack, getting past Phil Gauthier in both motos. Gauthier shook off his Masters woes to convincingly win the Vet A class by capturing both motos with some large leads. Jacob LaCount won the first 250cc C moto on a borrowed bike, ahead of YZ426F rider Alan Hanke. Cory Augustine captured a big holeshot in moto two, in front of Donald Karnz and Donald Zantow, with Hanke in fourth. Augustine pulled out to a nice lead but lost some momentum through the triple section, letting Karnz pull within reach. LaCount was caught in the pack, fighting his way through to fifth by lap two. Augustine gained some lost ground on the downhill whoop section and moved ahead by five bike lengths. LaCount moved into third, right on Karnz's tail, with two laps to go. Karnz lost the position and LaCount set his sights on the leader, Augustine. LaCount moved around Augustine for the win. Karnz finished in third and third overall, and Hanke rode a consistent race for fourth and second overall. Augustine went 9-2 for sixth overall. eN 'iIke home ° seasods aass counIIy racing oc:Iion anti. , . . . . hm 41¥81Y ..... 0nIIr1lR-"1IIIl~ produced MX and RV single ~ half or S8C8CIIt bCII8d . . or ...Wilg U season "0ighlight Kewaunee County fairgl'1lUnds Luxemburg, Wisconsin Resulls: July 15, ZOOl [Raund 51 WMN: 1.
