the Now available fro MX. The wily veteran took a new YZ426F to a hard-fought victory in that class and backed up that win with a top-five finish in the Over 40 class. In the 250cc C class, CR250 rider Richard Hamlin got a massive holeshot, with Biddle in his wake. YZ250-mounted Michael Jones had dispatched Hamlin and Biddle by the end of the first lap. Then Biddle sneaked by Hamlin and started to pressure Jones for the lead. On lap three, Jones got crossed up on an uphill jump through the infield section and wadded his trusty Yamaha, handing Biddle the lead, with Hamlin in tow. Biddle stretched out his lead to the finish, while Hamlin had his hands full with CR250 rider Jason King and YZ250 rider Ben Rogers. Hamlin managed to retain the runner-up position until the white-flag lap, when he was dispatched by both King and Rogers. Hamlin finished fourth, with RM250 rider Darrell Schlabach rounding out the top five. In the Over 40 class, YZ426F -mounted Gerry Bennett snagged the top spot after being unsuccessful in that quest in the Over 25 and Over 30 A classes. During the Over 25 A contest, YZF rider Dale Slabaugh took holeshot honors and seemed set to cruise to victory, but Bennett methodically chipped away at Slabaugh's lead, coming to within a wheel of Slabaugh by the final lap. No matter what Bennett tried, though, Slabaugh had an answer, and he held on to the finish. In the Over 30 A class, Slabaugh and Honda pilot Tom Dolen put themselves between Bennett and first place. By the time the Over 40 class came to the gate, Bennett was ready. After a characteristically good start, Bennett managed to hold off YZ riders Chuck Hetrick and Mark Matheis. Rounding out the top five were Bill Leake and Biddle. The 125cc and 250cc A classes were dominated by YZF-mounted Mark Burkhart. On this night, Burkhart was clearly head and shoulders above the rest of each class. Behind Burkhart in both classes. there was a virtual war between Michael Campbell and Travis Hartshorn. Campbell took runner-up honors in the 250cc A class, while Hartshorn grabbed that position in the 125cc A contest after banging bars with Campbell for several laps, crashing, getting back up and just putting in a truly inspiring ride. In the Mini classes, Markus Willis put his KTM SX 65 in the 65cc-c1ass winners' circle, while Joey Leadbeater accomplished the same with his RM80 in the Mini Junior class. Christopher Nelson was runner-up in both classes. Jake Fowler and Ian Kendig claimed the top spot in each gate of the Pee Wee 50cc classes, while Cody Herron took the win in the 50cc (4-6) class and Bradley Baker did likewise in the 50cc (7-8) class.
