Fernandez had bad luck agai n on lap two , which moved everyone up a spot for the next two laps. The only change in the t o p five was on the white-flag lap, wh en J ohn Fik aris got arou nd B lac k burn to fini sh fifth in th e race but sec ond in th e 85cc (1 2 -13 ) category . The 60cc Stock (6- 8) and (9-1 1) d ivi sions gated t ogether , w ith Zac k Gi v ens g arn er in g th e 6 0c c (9 -11) holeshot in the fi rst moto, foll ow ed by Nicholas Fisher , D illon Solly and Rodolfo Fernandez. Fernandez moved up to th ird on the final lap and then took ov er second when Fisher fell after j u m p two . The fo u r - m il e course was damp from rece nt rai ns and a little slick in the b eg in nin g , b ut i t worked into shape after the first l ap . John Rob bins tra il ed Je ff at the fi rst ch eckpoint but was pass ed by Andy on th e first la p b efo re th e t h ird check. Adrian Heil held fourt h , with Brett Du bois in fifth , 48 seconds beh ind Jeff at the end of th e first lap. Jeff co n ti n u ed to gradually pull away from his brother , and Robbins was in a t ight battle w ith Heil and Dubois. Heil and Dubois passed Rob b i ns on the se cond lap but they re m a in e d clo se tog ether on the co urse. Robbins repassed Dubois on th e thi rd lap, and Michael Smith also passed Dubois to break into the top five for the final running order. Both Creggs and Heil finished in th e top three o vera ll positions, moving Rob bins int o fi rst p la ce in the Heavy A class . T he action picked up on the second lap, and Kinkelaar p assed wa ll s fo r the lead before the second ch eck . Tay lor also passed Walls an d the n pa ssed Kinkelaar before the thi rd ch eck for the lead . Surface moved into second, and Brent Dill man worked his way into th ird, in fron t of Walls and Rede l. Th e top three stayed close, and Surfac e passed Ta ylor for the lead halfway into the third lap. Taylor passed him back on the next lap , and Dillman joined in th e batt le and also passed Surface for second . Surfac e b attled bac k and retook the lead from Ta ylor for good near the end of lap fiv e. Surface started to pu ll away . Dillman held second place, two m inutes behind Surface, at the beginn ing of the last lap, but he was passed by Ta ylor before the second check . Walls moved into third and Kinkelaar passed Dillman before the fourth check for fourth , dropping Dillman to fifth . With 24 riders , the Heavy B class was the largest o f the da y. Lendell Smith took the win one m inute and 47 seconds in front of Colby Davis. At the start, Davis too k th e early lead and Ed Fess ler held second , in front of N a t h a n Gask i ll , Smith and Jeff We ir. Sm i th p a s sed Gas ki ll and Fe ssler for second on th e fi rst lap . On the second lap , Sm ith passed Dav is for the lea d before the second check, an d th ey swapped positions ba ck and forth until Smith too k ov er for good on the sixth lap . D avis and Fessler staye d cl os e , and D an i el Scal es moved into fourth, in front of Gaskill , at the beginn ing of the last lap.
