OTHG Mammoth Mountain Motocross STORY AND PHOTOS BY CHRIS SANCHIRICO MAMMOTH lAKES, CA, JQNE 16·17 he "Doctor" Doug Dubach dominated the fourth annual Yamaha/GYT -R Parts Over The Hill Gang Mammoth Mountain Motocross. Dubach took advantage of the usual sunny skies and perfect temperatures as he cut and carved his way around one of the most pristine natural-terrain tracks in the world. The event attracted over 900 Vets from all over the nation to contest the two-day, four-moto event, and they all had to retune their bikes for the 8000foot elevation of the track. Obviously, Dubach had his Alan Olson-prepped YZ426F dialed in. It doesn't matter who the 38-year-old multiple Vet World Champion races, young or old, Dubach seems to come out on top more often than not. This time, the Dubach RacingjWhite Brothers/O'NeaIl Enzo/Shoei-backed rider toped the largest Vet motocross racing club in the world. At the conclusion of the racing, Frank Potter, of Quincy, California, received the best father's day gift a racer could ask for. Potter rode away with a brand new 2001 YZ250, which was donated by Yamaha and raffled off, with all proceeds being donated to Yamaha's charity of choice, "Feed the Children."
